I understand the School District will not consider lumping furlough days at the end of the year because of 27 different schedules. Just because it is inconvenient for the district does not seem like a good reason not to consider this. Please explain.
Why can't the district use some leftover bond money to fill the budget gap?
Will employees make less next year?
What is the status of conversations about concessions versus staff cuts?
If all employee groups agree to the same concessions as last year, how much will that total?
What if we take 10 furlough days next year? How much will that save?

Small Schools Proposal for the 2012-13 Budget

The School Board voted at its December 2011 regular business meeting to repurpose two small schools, Hazel Green and Rosedale elementary schools. The action was taken to help address a projected $20-$25 million shortfall in the 2012-13 budget.
