Using HEAT Self Service
TIS has a simple way for district staff to request technology assistance. All district employees should request technical assistance directly using HEAT Self Service. This is true for Smooth Start and beyond.
An orange life ring icon called TECH HELP should be on your computer desktop. When you double-click on the icon, you are taken to the HEAT Self Service web site where you can enter information about the support you need.
All support requests are reviewed by the Technology Support Center within 10 minutes of receiving them during business hours. Submitting support requests through TECH HELP allows TIS to efficiently provide support and prioritize their workload from a district-wide perspective. For example, if a school or department has a significantly higher number of support requests, TIS can allocate technicians as needed.
TECH HELP also allows you to view the status of your support requests. Creating a support request takes less than three minutes. Support requests and requests for large projects may still be submitted by contacting the Technology Support Center at (503) 399-5555.
