Rosetta Stone Summer Try-it and Full Year Opportunity
The Talented and Gifted Services Department is happy to announce that we are now taking applications for two unique Language Enrichment Programs. Please see applicaiton for languages offered and requirements.
Option 1-Summer Try-it
Who: Salem-Keizer TAG Identified Students, Grades K-11(Priority given to first-time participants)
When: Session will be June 14th-August 31st
Cost: $25 If Selected to participate (do not send money with your application)

Option 2-Full Year
Who: Salem-Keizer TAG Identified Students, Grades K-11
When: Session will be June 14, 2012 -June 1, 2013
Cost: $89, if selected to participate, no Scholarships are available for this option (do not send money with your application)

Applications must be mailed or carried in to the TAG office no later than May 30th. Faxed or emailed copies will not be accepted. Acceptance letters will be sent out June 6th.
West Salem High School French Language and Culture Camp June 18-22
West Salem High School French Teacher, Mms Beckstrom, and her French students will be putting on thier annual French Camp for students K-9(Fall 2012 grade level). Students will be grouped by age.
Where: West Salem High School
When: June 18-22, 2012
Cost: $75 (this includes a t-shirt)
What: Students will cook French food, learn French language and participate in a variety of activities designed to help them learn more about the French language and culture.
Deadline: Registrations are due at West Salem High School June 8th, after June 8th there is a $25 late fee.

2011-2012 Nature Kids Youth Naturalist Series
Presented by Friends of Straub Environmental Learning Center
Through classes and field trips, students will learn about geology, the water cycle, tree science, plant identification, Oregon wildlife, the food web, and careers in natural resources, among other topics. Classes are divided into two groups: 2nd/3rd grade and 4th/5th grade. Each group has one class per month, and classes are FREE thanks to our donors. All classes are held from 4:30pm-5:30pm at the Straub Environmental Learning Center. Nature Kids 2011-2012 begins in October. Space is limited, please register your student with Alexandra at 503-391-4145 or fselc@fselc.org.

Nature Kids take action! Become a youth leader at your school and/or in your community. Learn about projects you can do to show your care and concern for animals, the environment and the human community.
